I have flown at this site for nearly 30 years and know the Ross family personally. The site in question is slopesoaring.com.au run I believe by Ian Cole. The wing retaining joints, I have been using these on three of our 4.2 meter glass gliders over a number of years and never had any come appart in the air or after landing, better then rubber bands.
